Oscar started out studying computer software and programming in college. Somewhere between the code and the classroom, he realized the work he loved was happening in a barber chair, not behind a screen.

He made the switch, enrolled in barber school, and earned his Master Barber license. Today he cuts at Plugged N Empire in Inman, South Carolina, bringing the same precision he once put into code to every fade, taper, and line-up.

For Oscar, barbering is about more than the cut. It's the conversation, the new faces, and the way a client walks out standing a little taller. That's what keeps him behind the chair.
